Pathway Polymers has created options to ensure flatproofing with TyrFil can be both economically and environmentally smart.  Based on recyclability, reduction of non-renewable raw materials, and lower cost, our TyrFil Green products are the best option for an environmentally responsible tire fill.

TyrFil Green for the Aftermarket (AM)

TyrFil Green (AM) recycles tire fill material over and over again. Our AutoFil Recycler System reduces the need for virgin materials, reuses tire fill material to fill more tires, and recycles used tire fill. It is true recycling - a cycle that repeats without end.

Using the AutoFil Recycler System, tires can be filled with up to 65% recycled materials. Since up to 65% of TyrFil Green is recycled material, the amount of Toluene diisocyanate (TDI), Polyols, and Petroleum Distillates are also reduced by up to 65%, thus reducing the residual carbon footprint.

TyrFil Green AM is processed using the patented AutoFil Recycler System and recycling used tire fill material mixed with new virgin TyrFil. To date, processors have recycled an estimated 150 million pounds.  In 2010 more than half of the tire fill installed in Aftermarket OTR tires will be recycled tire fill.

In addition to reducing the amount of used tire fill, this process also reduces cost. The AutoFil Recycler System enables the product to be recycled onsite without any added transportation or landfill costs, which also offers significant environmental benefits.

TyrFil Green Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

TyrFil Green OEM is processed using the patented OE AutoFil Recycler System. This system uses a special mix of rubber crumb recycled from used passenger car tires. Up to 50% of the mix is comprised of recycled rubber crumb.

Processors using the OE AutoFil Recycler System have reused an estimated seven million pounds of recycled rubber crumb. Since up to 50% of TyrFil Green OEM is recycled rubber crumb, the amount of TDI, Polyols and Petroleum Distillates are also reduced by up to 50%.
